We really enjoyed this game.  Liberty showed a lot of class and overall great sportsmanship and had an amazing spectator turnout.  Great Job!

North scored the first goal after just 11 seconds followed by a second goal 38 seconds later.  After multiple middie change-ups, the tides turned when Liberty came back with a goal with just 2 minutes 40 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Liberty came out strong in the second quarter sliding in their second and final goal with 7 minutes 18 seconds remaining.  North Kitsap followed up with a goal 4 minutes later to end the first half ahead 3-2.

Both teams came out strong in the second half holding scoreless until North managed to drop in their fourth goal with 5 minutes remaining.  North increased their lead by 4 over the next four minutes including a goal by our first long-stick-middie, Landen Young.

North came out with a vengeance in the fourth quarter putting another 4 goals on the baords in 4 minutes which granted hat-tricks to Jake Icard (12), Colter Smith (21) and Ryan Perez (24).

Overall both goalies had solid games with significant saves and some amazing clears as well as one very well place body check by Liberty’s goalie Forest Hurley on an already ailing Walker McCabe who was sore from a significant body check in Thursdays game.  Liberty's goalie managed 15 saves while North Kitsap’s Chaz Zacharof was a wall of denial stopping 7 Liberty shots.

Team defense performed very well tonight knocking down  6 passes and 2 shots on goal thereby assisting Chaz in his efforts.  Their clears and support of their goalie were significantly improved over our previous game.  Great job!

Overall North Kitsap had the following team stats, most notably ground ball control and just 2 minutes in the penalty box.

Ground Balls:  62 (15 of 21 players had ground balls, 12 collected by Aaron Hack)
  Assists:  6
  Shots:  28
  Goals:  13
