The NK Middle School boys lost a hard fought game Saturday morning to the Steilacoom Strykers.  Several NK boys played in their first game of the season against a larger (size-wise) team.  Ethan Gregory scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Ryan Griffin.  Coach Joe Bates kept the boys focused on doing their best while on the field.  Coach Joe Kane did a great job rotating players in and out of the game and all players present got some good playing time.

NK MS Edge Out Highline

Great job, NK!!  The NK Middle School Team won an exciting game in Burien against Highline.  Joshua Byrnes scored his first two goals of the season (both unassisted), Kellson Arthurs scored two unassisted goals and Edgar Martin scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Kellson Arthurs.  The players struggled to scoop up ground balls on a muddy, bumpy field, which proved to be much more difficult than playing on their artificial turf home field.  Despite the challenges, they snagged almost twice as many ground balls as the competition.
